00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:01.000

00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:02.000
Glory Launch Commentator George Diller: This is Taurus Launch Control.

00:00:02.000 --> 00:00:10.000
We're 15 minutes, 35 seconds since the liftoff of the Taurus XL rocket. The

00:00:10.000 --> 00:00:17.000
flight was going well, until the time of fairing separation, and then we had data

00:00:17.000 --> 00:00:21.000
coming into the Mission Director's Center from our Vandenberg tracking

00:00:21.000 --> 00:00:27.000
station and from Point MuGu that we did not have a successful fairing

00:00:27.000 --> 00:00:35.000
separation from the Taurus and it was insufficient velocity, with the fairing still

00:00:35.000 --> 00:00:39.000
on, for the vehicle to be able to achieve orbit.

00:00:39.000 --> 00:00:46.000
So at this time, we are going to be activating our launch contingency plan here

00:00:46.000 --> 00:00:56.000
in the Mission Director's Center. We were taking all of the data that we have

00:00:56.000 --> 00:01:02.000
from our tracking sites to be able to give us whatever information we can

00:01:02.000 --> 00:01:08.000
ascertain from the data from the vehicle data that might give us some clues as

00:01:08.000 --> 00:01:12.000
to what may have happened and why the fairing did not come off, but again,

00:01:12.000 --> 00:01:19.000
the fairing did not separate from the Taurus and the Glory spacecraft is not

00:01:19.000 --> 00:01:23.000
able to achieve orbit.

00:01:23.000 --> 00:01:32.000
So at this point until we are able to have a press briefing to provide whatever

00:01:32.000 --> 00:01:40.000
additional information we might be able to indicate that would give us some

00:01:40.000 --> 00:01:46.000
further data on what we've been doing since we first got that data indicating

00:01:46.000 --> 00:01:52.000
that the fairing did not come off, we will be concluding our coverage and our

00:01:52.000 --> 00:01:58.000
next activity on NASA TV for the Taurus,

00:01:58.000 --> 00:02:03.000
Glory launch will be our contingency press briefing.

00:02:03.000 --> 00:02:09.000
So 20 minutes after the launch of the Glory spacecraft on the Taurus,

00:02:09.000 --> 00:02:12.000
we will conclude our coverage.

00:02:12.000 --> 00:02:16.000
This is Taurus Launch Control.
