00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:01.000

00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:03.000
BRUCE BUCKINGHAM: Welcome, Andre. ANDRE'DRESS: Thank you.

00:00:03.000 --> 00:00:07.000
BRUCE BUCKINGHAM: We have some video that shows the GOES-N spacecraft processing.

00:00:07.000 --> 00:00:14.000
Can you take us through that process? DRESS: Sure. Why don't we roll the tape. Here we're seeing the C-17, which is landing,

00:00:14.000 --> 00:00:22.000
and we're moving the spacecraft from the aircraft. And here it is being rolled over to the Astrotech Facility, where there'll be some

00:00:22.000 --> 00:00:29.000
processing on the ground. You're actually seeing the satellite being lifted, and is being put down on the payload attach fitting.

00:00:29.000 --> 00:00:41.000
And here is the spacecraft. It's actually being inside a cleanroom tent, and it will be used to do testing in that environment. We have highly sensitive

00:00:41.000 --> 00:00:50.000
instruments which are necessary to keep clean, and actually it's being rotated over here. Engineers, technicians working on it now.

00:00:50.000 --> 00:00:58.000
Here it is on the fueling stand, and it's being prepared to actually be loaded with the propellant. And here is the one-half of the fairing;

00:00:58.000 --> 00:01:06.000
the spacecraft will actually be loaded inside of that fairing and encapsulated in there. You see one half being set down now around

00:01:06.000 --> 00:01:22.000
the spacecraft. A delicate procedure. And you see both halves being closed in there. The spacecraft's inside. And here it is,

00:01:22.000 --> 00:01:30.000
it's actually coming out of the Astrotech Facility and actually be rolled out to the launch pad. And here it is at the launch pad.

00:01:30.000 --> 00:01:37.000
It's getting ready to be hoisted up and sat on top of the rocket. And here it's being hoisted up, at this point. Obviously,

00:01:37.000 --> 00:01:49.000
a very delicate procedure. A lot of planning involved in just performing these maneuvers. Here it is inside, it's getting ready

00:01:49.000 --> 00:02:11.000
to be placed down on top of the Delta IV rocket. Just about setting it down, coming over top there. A lot of care being taken.

00:02:11.000 --> 00:02:24.000
And the team is setting her down on top of the rocket now. See the NASA/NOAA logos there with the spacecraft on top.

00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:29.000
