00:00:01.000  --> 00:00:08.900
George Diller/GOES-O Launch Commentator:
This is Delta Launch Control at T-115
minutes, 47 seconds and counting.

00:00:09.000  --> 00:00:17.900
The countdown for the launch of the GOES-O
weather satellite for NASA and NOAA is now
in its final phase this afternoon.

00:00:18.000  --> 00:00:25.900
Right now, we're in the middle of fueling the
second stage with liquid hydrogen and liquid
oxygen.

00:00:26.000  --> 00:00:29.900
First-stage fueling operations are complete.

00:00:30.000  --> 00:00:37.900
Our fueling should be complete in about 45
minutes, at 4:45 this afternoon.

00:00:38.000  --> 00:00:44.900
And that will finish the loading of the
rocket when we complete the second stage,
or the upper stage.

00:00:45.000  --> 00:00:50.900
Activities at Launch Complex 37 began early
this morning when the mobile service tower,

00:00:51.000  --> 00:00:55.900
or the gantry, was pulled away from the
Delta IV rocket.

00:00:56.000  --> 00:01:05.900
That procedure was kicked off at about
6:14 a.m. and finished shortly after 7:30
this morning.

00:01:06.000  --> 00:01:09.900
The launch team manned their stations for
the terminal countdown at about 12:15 this

00:01:10.000  --> 00:01:14.900
afternoon at the Delta Operations Center and
Mission Director's Center

00:01:15.000  --> 00:01:23.900
in preparation for the start of loading the
liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellants
aboard the rocket.

00:01:24.000  --> 00:01:33.900
Fueling began with the liquid oxygen into
the first stage at 1:34 p.m. and was
finished at 2:32 p.m.

00:01:34.000  --> 00:01:43.900
And then the liquid-hydrogen fueling began at
2:04 p.m. and was finished at 2:50 p.m. on
the first stage, or core booster stage.

00:01:44.000  --> 00:01:50.900
Loading of the upper stage then began with
the liquid oxygen at 2:45 p.m., followed
by the start of liquid hydrogen

00:01:51.000  --> 00:02:00.900
30 minutes later at 3:15 p.m.  -- and that's
what we'll be wrapping up here in another
45 minutes or so.

00:02:01.000  --> 00:02:04.900
Upcoming in the launch countdown, some of
the activities we'll also hear at that point,

00:02:05.000  --> 00:02:09.900
will be the test of the range safety systems
aboard the rocket,

00:02:10.000  --> 00:02:14.900
and later we'll hear and see the gimbal slew
checks -- these are the steering checks of

00:02:15.000  --> 00:02:20.900
the main engines aboard each of the two
stages of the Delta IV.

00:02:21.000  --> 00:02:27.900
At T-113 minutes, 30 seconds and counting,
this is Delta Launch Control.
