00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:06.000
NAIL: Art, Rosalee from Vancouver would like to ask you:

00:00:06.000 --> 00:00:10.000
How much distance would the satellites be between each other in orbit, and how was that decided?

00:00:10.000 --> 00:00:17.000
AZARBARZIN: OK. When we, when we launch these satellites, when they start at about very close to each other, about meters apart,

00:00:17.000 --> 00:00:22.000
but then they begin to spacing out as the orbit, they go through the orbit.

00:00:22.000 --> 00:00:26.000
However, over the course of the mission, we want to demonstrate a couple of things.

00:00:26.000 --> 00:00:29.000
We want to demonstrate and make sure the performance of our micro-thruster,

00:00:29.000 --> 00:00:33.000
which is a new technology for us, and also demonstration of the formation flying.

00:00:33.000 --> 00:00:45.000
As a result of that, we do place in the different regions of the magnetosphere,

00:00:45.000 --> 00:00:53.000
So, but in our mission, day 20 of mission, we do space them a little further apart --

00:00:53.000 --> 00:00:56.000
roughly about 40 to about 200 kilometers.

00:00:56.000 --> 00:01:07.000
And when we go through day 50 of the mission, we bring them a little bit closer to each other, which is roughly around 20 to 150 kilometers.

00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:07.000
